Dua Lipa... I want to be ya

I should be doing Uni assignments right now, but I have to share my new discovery...
Dua Lipa is a 20 year old singer/songwriter and she's good. Very good.
If you have come across this beauty, it's most likely that you have heard her most recent single, released at the end of October, "Be the One".
Nominated for the Sound of 2016, (previous nominees include Sam Smith, AlunaGeorge, and James Bay) she has already made an impression on the UK, and I hope it lasts. Her voice is raspy, and vocal range is something most of us can only dream of.
It is clear to see that even now, with two single releases and a few covers on her YouTube channel, she is beautifully versatile. She has raw talent, far better than many artists out there topping the charts right now.
This fact is evident when you check out her live session for BBC Sound of 2016, performing 'Be the One'. It is difficult to hear a difference between the live and studio versions, the only distinctive factor being the instrumental.
In case you needed anymore convincing, approval from the pros is definitely credible. Dua works under the same management as Lana Del Rey, and if her music is anything to go by, we should expect great things.
Along with her stunning voice she's absolutely beautiful; with cheekbones that could cut glass and eyebrows most certainly 'on fleek', she could easily be a long lost sister of the Kardashian/Jenner clan.
She oozes cool, but after watching her music video above, I probably don't need to tell you that. Her Instagram feels really authentic and true to herself, you can really see a personality come through on all creative platforms, which is really unique to the run of the mill celebrity social media.
Her debut album is set to arrive this year, so I will definitely be watching this space and looking forward to that moment.
